Livestream of Vigil Mass for the Second Sunday of Easter, April 10, 2021, at 5pm

“The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own…” – ACTS 4:32

All that we are and all that we have is a gift from God!  Think of your family, your friends, your life, your talents and your money – these are all gifts from God!  We aren’t really owners of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts God has blessed us with.  We are called to be grateful and generous with all of our gifts for the benefit of others.

Pregnancy Aid Clinic – Virtual Baby Bottle Event

For the next two weekends April 11 and April 18, Saint Mary Magdalene is helping to raise funds for PAC.
Pregnancy Aid Clinic is a non-profit center that has been providing life-changing services regardless of financial ability, race, age, or religion since 1984. Our care addresses the whole woman- mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual in a compassionate and nonjudgmental way.
The clinic offers comprehensive programs for mothers and fathers to navigate from pregnancy to parenthood with a focus on parenting and life skills. We strive to protect children by strengthening families.
Thanks to donations, grants, and committed volunteers who work together to create a support system, our services are available at no charge.

Please consider participating in a PAC Digital Baby Bottle Event!
Baby Bottle drives are a primary source of revenue for Pregnancy Aid Clinic, providing funds to maintain clinic operations; the clinic relies on your donations to keep PAC operating, and continue supporting women and families in need.

Every bit helps – this is an event that usually is filled with pennies and nickels – no gift is too small for the smallest among us.

Please Welcome Our New Musicians

Music Director – Scott Dixon

Scott moved here from Savannah in Sept. 2020 and was traveling back to Savannah to play at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where he joined the staff in 2017.  Prior to St. Frances was the music director/Organist at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Savannah for 4 years.  He also served at St. Matthews Church in Statesboro.  Scott began sharing his musical talents at his grandparents church in Waycross.  He then was organist for an Episcopal Church in Okeechobee, Florida and then at Central Baptist Church in Waycross and Trinity United Methodist in Waycross.  He is looking forward to working with the wonderful singers and musicians at St. Mary Magdalene.

Assistant Music Director – Stephanie Rucker

I wanted to introduce myself.  For those of you who do not know me, my name is Stephanie Rucker and I am so happy to be back at St. Mary Magdalene.  I am very excited to be joining the staff as the Assistant Music Director.  I cannot wait to get started and work with Scott to continue adding fabulous music to our Masses and special services here at church. To offer a little bit of a personal background, I am the oldest of 7 children and have three boys of my own.  I am originally from Va. Beach, VA and moved to GA in 2001 and was welcomed into the music department here at SMM in 2008.  I am looking forward to working and singing with all of you!!  I would like to wish my friend Johnny all of the best.  We will miss him.

Tornado Assistance update

Thank you for all the support for our neighbors in need. At this time, we have enough food, but clothes, toiletries and housing are a priority

We are accepting gift cards from superstores like Walmart and Target and our St Vincent dePaul Ministry is taking donations to provide medium-stay housing. You can bring your donations by the church in the evenings all this week, starting tonight.
