Encounter the Heart of God: Six-Week Lenten Challenge

Transformation awaits this Lent!
Individuals and groups are invited to join us for a fruitful and fulfilling Lenten season as we journey to Encounter the Heart of God.
Giving up chocolate for Lent is so cliche. This Lent, allow yourself to be immersed in the ocean of God’s Love in community with others. A mere ten minutes per day in prayer or reflection can enable you to: Experience God’s Love More Personally, Replace Anxiety with More Peace, Discern God’s Subtle Heart Movements, “Hear” God Communicate via Scripture, Connect with Others in the Private Lenten Challenge FB Community, and Leader’s Guide and Support for Groups.

Stewardship Reflection for this Sunday

“Brothers and sisters:  I should like you to be free of anxieties.”  – 1 Corinthians 7:32

How much anxiety do we bring upon ourselves by constantly worrying about not having enough or attaining more things?  God won’t necessarily give you everything you want, but He will provide everything you need.   Try this – use the word “pray” instead of the word “worry” in the future.  Then pray for things instead of worrying about them.

Second Collection – January 30-31

This weekend, the second collection is for all the Hispanic Ministries of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. The help we provide to our Hispanic brothers and sisters is accompanied by pastoral services as religious education, evangelization programs as well as the Sacraments and the Eucharist in their own language and culture, for their spiritual support and integration to the parish life. All contributions go directly to serve the Hispanic community of the archdiocese. Please be generous, the needs are great.

Stewardship Reflection for this Sunday

“Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”   – Mark 1:17

Jesus’ call to “Follow me” is a call to all Christians!  The call is in the here and now, in our present circumstances, not when we think we are “ready” or have everything in order.   Good stewardship of our God-given gifts means that things aren’t always going to go according to our schedule and that God has a much better plan in store for each of us.
