Stewardship Reflection for this Sunday

“…whatever you did for one of the least of my brothers, you did for me.”  – Matthew 25:40

Most of us are generous when it’s convenient for us.  We are generous when we have the time or the money.  But, generosity is the opposite of that.  It means giving of one’s time, money, compassion, forgiveness or mercy when it’s not convenient; when it’s not on our schedule, but on the other person’s schedule.

From our Youth Ministry and St. Vincent dePaul – 2020 Giving Tree

Because of COVID-19, our Giving Tree looks a little different.
To insure everyone’s health and safety, we are going to move to a

Virtual Giving Tree.

The sufferings of our brothers and sisters are greater than ever due to job losses & reductions, illness, and natural disasters.  Your generosity will help to reduce these financial burdens.   Visa gift cards will be purchased and given to Our St. Vincent DePaul Society who has identified families with the greatest needs.  The families can then prioritize where to apply the gift cards.

and contribute what you can in increments of $5.00.

Donations must be in by 12/6/2020 please.

Thank you for your support.

Keep Christ in Christmas – Cards, Car Magnets, Yard Signs

Parishioners of SMM,
This year has been unprecedented due to Covid-19.  Many have missed opportunities to unite with friends and family and the Covid situation in not abating, we are sure to experience this through the holiday season.  One way to reconnect with your loved ones is to write them a Christmas Card, a special “Keep Christ in Christmas” Card from the Knights of Columbus.  This is a moment in our lives that we will never forget.  not only allows you to connect from the heart, but also provides invaluable resources your Knights will use to help those in need during this critical time.  This is a moment in our lives that we will never forget.  Keep it special.  Send a message and a Keep Christ in Christmas card this year.

The order must be submitted by December 4 or earlier.

Delivery / Pick up will be by appointment only.

Stewardship Reflection for This Sunday

“Well done, my good and faithful servant.  Since you have been faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities.”- MATTHEW 25:21

God calls us to nurture and develop the gifts He has given us and then generously return a portion with increase.  He doesn’t want us to waste or hoard the gifts He has given us.  He expects us to grow our gifts, use them wisely and be generous with them.  Unfortunately, many of us are not generous in proportion to all that God has given us.
