KOC Buffalo Wild Wings Spirit Day – September 14

The Knights of Columbus are hosting a “Wings for Charity” fund raiser on Thursday, September 14 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Newnan.  Either for Lunch or Dinner, stating you are supporting the Knights will result in 10% of your bill amount being donated to the Knights for their charitable giving.  By the way, Thursdays are also BOGO free boneless wings!

Hurricane Idalia

Hurricane Idalia hit the Big Bend of Florida as a category four with major winds and flooding. The storm continues to bring in surge to the coast of Florida and will impact Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina as well. 

There will be a large number of families impacted by this storm. If you would like to help, please send donations to Catholic Charities USA. One hundred percent of your gift will go directly to local Catholic Charities organizations and parishes. 

“Catholic Charities Atlanta will coordinate with Catholic Charities USA in providing access to available resources for parishes affected by the storm in the Archdiocese of Atlanta,” says Vanessa Russell.

VIRTUS Training – August 19 & 22

VIRTUS Training is required by the Archdiocese of Atlanta for St. Mary Magdalene
volunteers.  It is a three hour in-person class.  Our next training classes will be on Saturday, August 19 (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm) and Tuesday, August 22 (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm).  If you are a volunteer and have not attended the  VIRTUS Training, please register for one of these classes at https://archatl.com/ministries-services/safe-environment/safe-environment-compliance/ or click on the QR code on the attached flyer.

Feast of St. Mary Magdalene

The Feast of St. Mary Magdalene is July 22.  In celebration of our Patronal Feast, we will celebrate her liturgy on Saturday and Sunday, July 22-23.  We will also have an ice cream social following the Noon Mass on Sunday, July 23.  All are welcome!  Hope to see you there!
